Well i was a teen in early 2000s and hell yeah. The best era for that. I always felt bit shy to tell i like simple plan.. cuz i was a huge gc fan, and green day, blink and sum 41 and simple plan even tho i was like 12 felt to soft in a way. But i always stayed a fan and when i finnaly saw them life.. in my 20s cuz im in europe and shit xD i got tears in my eyes xD it was good. The concert was great. Fans were amazing. The energy was on spot. Pierre voice too. And of corse i went for more concerts later. Ans i was so stoked when i saw them touring with sum 41. Now in my 30s i yet again got teary eyes when i went on a concert. Two bands i love on the same spot almost 20 years later. Craaazyyy. I thought i will never live that. That that era is over. But hell yeah it wasnt

I was born in 96. So I was still young when this band blew up. But it definitely felt like everything they were putting out, was a banger! Thanks for sharing this great video, Mike!

Reset! Reset! Reset!!! omg i think I still have a few mp3, its impossible to find now. It's like Rancid signing with warner, the change made some fans to move to another band… I didnt like Simple plan compared to Reset, it was for the young girls… but I can't deny the success.

I thought the hands of time forgot about Simple Plan. Good to see that they are getting some appreciation here. Loved Addicted and Perfect. But they were really good and consistent. Never bad.

their music hasn't aged as well as the other big pop punk bands but they were never "bad". there are so many genres of punk for everybody. And ya they were softer but they were the band i could show to my parents and not get totally cussed out for listening to devil music.

I was 11 when No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls came out and I also watched the New Guy over and over again so this album was really important for me. I had a pretty bad home life and I used to blast “Perfect” alone in my room and ball my eyes out and it was super cathartic. They helped me get through a lot and I’ll always appreciate that album specifically. I wish I could find the Simple Plan shirt I used to have but I lost it! 😭I hope to see them when they come to Boston with Avril Lavigne this summer. I already bought tickets to see Blink-182 for the first time and I’m buying tickets for Green Day also, I haven’t seen them since my senior year of high school in 2009! This summer’s gonna be incredible!

I try to get my kids into pop/punk. Older stuff is just to weird for them, newer punk just to hard. They love Simple Plan though!!! Wasn’t my favorite band but I’ll take it as long as they’re listening to music made before 2010!!!

Also, never forget that Simple Plan is a French Canadien band. They had to learn english and perfect it to the point of being accepted by the world. Most french Canadien can make good music but can't get the accent good enough to go far. One day i will be playing with Simple Plan.

morro como as coisas são totalmente diferentes nos eua
aqui no brasil tirando o blink e green day, simple plan é facilmente a banda emo mais famosa que existe e eu to chocada de saber que as pessoas nos eua conhecem mais sum41 do que simple plan 😭

Nah man, theyre industry plants. Simple plan, mest, american hifi, the used, good Charlotte, bowling for soup, etc etc etc. im sure theyre fans of blink and the offspring, etc. but someone needed a band and they were it. Either way they dont affect my life in any way other than my 9 year old daughter found out about them from Scooby Doo and i overheard her play thay theme and im just a kid over and over and over for a few days straight…lol! 😅

Sorry, Simple Plan blows Sum 41 out of the water! And they easily match Blink and Good Charlotte! Ive been in love with their music since the first time I heard them in High School.

What I always felt set them apart, is their songs were relate-able. Perfect, Just a kid, etc helped me feel less alone at a rough point in my life. As much as I love the other bands out there, they just never spoke to me the same way.

Simple Plan was the first band I was too punk for as little kid. I'm also Canadian so they got played A LOT here. We also had way more Nickleback, TV shows and radio stations have a government obligation to have a certain percentage of content be from Canadian artists. So here they were pushed really hard and was pretty saturated on the radio.

I loved them as a teenager but I recently tried to listen their first album again and I can’t stand it 🥲 and I remember replaying it over and over. I think it’s Pierre’s whiny voice like he said.
