the way my sister and I did it was we just kept everything we wanted then put everything we didn't care much for into a bowl and if the other one wanted it, it was ours. Way easier
My sister actually LIKED the weird orange and black wrapped peanut butter taffy things. I traded her those for GOOD candy and could never shake the paranoia that she was tricking me somehow
