11:24 i once asked for a story generator thing to write an idea for a story with a sad ending or something, it came out with something along the lines of “mike fell in love with this girl but she didnt feel the same way, so he started to eat a lot because of the pain he felt, eventually he got very fat and saw this girl again, he fell on her and squashed her” LIKE THATS FREAKING HILARIOUS THAT AINT NO SAD STORY

A year later I’m really glad to see your perspective on this.

I’m a writer/animator who tends to have large casts of characters. I like using ai to help visualize how all their designs would work together without having to draw all 50+. There’s no motivation killer like drawing a ton of characters only for them to all look completely disconnected.

My art is always more cohesive and genuine, but the ai makes my designing process easier. It doesn’t replace it.

I’ve tried to do a similar thing with chatGPT where it aids my writing process, but it’s never really genuine. It can hit all the points I asked for and it just feels so soulless. Ai isn’t a replacement for real art and real writing. Human writing has consistently been better than Ai. Theres a reason writers and artist feel personally attacked when people say their work is ai generated.

A lot of people don't realize that most of what these AI programs do is plagiarize. They steal bits and pieces of actual stuff written on the internet, stitch them together, and regurgitate it. AI art programs also tend to just steal actual artists' styles. I hope there will be laws surrounding AI tech like this, but probably not for a while…

watching this in 2024 is making me realise how much ai has improved and spread into every type of content (the recent video ai still scares me)
even notion, the note-taking app i use has one, and it's way more advanced than the one in this video

No but thats part the reason i hate that ive been tempted by AI art. I love creating, i love thinking of ideas, i love sketching them out (half the time.) I hate finishing them though, god i hate finishing art. Ive got so many half baked sketches and AI tempts me but i havent fallen that far yet

We need to talk about how this man wrote a FORTY MINUTE LONG VIDEO WITH ONLY 8000 WORDS I’m not a writer or anything but I’ve entered contest’s and people at school pay me to do their English work so I’m usually writing a good couple thousand words a night and when I proof read I still think their all way to short and ur telling me he managed to stretch 8000 words into FORTY minutes

I like how commentary youtubers usually don't have like weird names (ex: ninja, cyberspark, nickEH 30, etc) like it's just their first and last name (ex: kurtis conner, Danny gonzalez, literally the guy your watching right now)
