The fact that I was incredibly lonely for a long time is a big reason why I started my YouTube channel. I like the community you're able to build with like minded people (:

Sometimes the internet can suck. But sometimes it can be pretty awesome lol.

I've had a disdain for cults and group-think since the 90s when my family abandoned, condemned and discarded our cultural artifacts and heritage for the local church group they joined. Despite pointing out contradictions and overt hypocrisy, they soldiered on, amd tje 90s had me dealing with gangs more often that i wanted…..then 9-11 happened and the fervor just intensified, violent fundamentalismFast forward to post Obama era and everyone is eager to join, follow, and subscribe, and some hive mind, blindly loyal to a personality or corporate brand. Everyone yelling about how unique they, are while behaving like a fanatic. It's an absolute nightmare for a quiet, creative free thinker.
It's so isolating. There's a big difference between communal mutualism, and teamwork, and blind fanaticism.

Opening lyrics to a great song Opiate

"Choices always were a problem for you, what you need is someone strong to guide you….Like ME"

That's the difference between a Cult and a Religion?

The amount of real estate they own

I’ve watched your channel for years and love it. Every time I watch a video I think about the phrase to go bold gracefully. I can’t help but look at your lack of hair at the front of your head. Could you consider changing your hair style to represent what you have? Keep up the good work.

Be kinder to each other, yes,….even if it WAS said by Glen Campbell, the musician so bland and inoffensive so as to be undetectable, 😁, yes, he nailed this one.
Be kind. Listen. Try to interest the person in a GOOD musician.!

In a democracy the party leader that is supporting our ideas is never perfect and we all know it. He OR SHE is not supposed to be a God Emperor, he is supposed to do the best he can to do to get laws and policies passed that work for the good of the country by means of the set of ideas that inspire that party and enough voters.

I feel safer with worship of someone who makes a favorite type of music or art, feel safer among those people who are into (your favorite writer/ artist/ musician here) than I ever will with anyone with any ideology at all, even if I agree with every last point in that ideology! ..
It's a safer ultimately saner way to feel seen.

Drug Induced Parkinson's has been a Standard of Care, where Anti-Crazy medications have been widely prescribed, that induce Parkinson's. I finally found high dose thiamine to provide some relief form the damage I got from psychiatry.

Also, the FACT-Check-Cult might be one of the most popular ones nowadays. A very handy way to hammer the Truth like a dark-age inquisitor, while seeming neutral, civilized, educated and very very smart 'n such. top-hat + monocle (monopolization of influence, information and trustworthiness)
The British Medical Journal (BMJ) gets fact-checked etc. plenty of warnings and examples around. As if the checkboxing, compartmentalization and black-white-thinking wasn't a problem enough in itself already (tiktok/youtube-brain syndrome).

Deprogram people efficiently to being their old selves, being almost completely superficial and ignorant about the economic and political institutions that they blindly obey and subject to, with the idea that those institutions that have been caught from multiple systematic and gigantic crimes and corruption are intact, beneficial and just.
Hunting the people that have exposed their crimes, while doing nothing to fix the actual problems and criminality.
How can we expect a system to work when basically no one know how the critical parts of it work, even the basics of them.
And those that are at the top, bring near 0 actually beneficial results (except for the monopolies and their layer-networked-investors, making the whole economy to be an exit-scam..among the other types of systematic frauds).
"We will fix the economy. *insert some old phrases that have near 0 meaning and impact of how the system functions*"
At least yet another example about how destructive blindness, blind-belief, blind-trust, blind-obedience, ignorance and taboos are.
But yea, all experiences from here as well point to the healthy functioning community being a key, also to a variety of other problems such as addiction, depression etc.
We just have an increasingly long road towards such states, if we remain superficial, shortsighted, reactive, passive and blind (accusing and excessively doubtful of others while being chronically attached and dependent of the twisted normality and popular beliefs).
True identity is quite the question, basically the answer to the hard problem about consciousness, so it is quite impressive to claim to have a true and profound answer to that.
Probably would also help the singularity-transcendentalists to make their AI-jesuses 'n such as well.
All this silly madness we're surrounded nowadays helps to show how profound is the need and role of beliefs and faith etc. for the human being.
As if the glass will fill up with something, so it is best to fill it consciously and with consideration, as much as possible (and try to measure and update the system, regularly or even constantly).

religion is a cult, the greenshift is a cult, believeing in convid is a cult, the whole world is run by cult leaders now. what is reality? It's getting harder and harder to differentiate reality from a cult.

The only difference between religion and cult is how they treat their members.
If a religion makes you a better person… great. If your religion makes you a worse person in the world, then it's a cult. If a cult makes you a very good person, then it is religion.
For example: if your religion is the reason that you hate groups who aren't like you in gender or sexuality… you're in cult. If your religion is the reason you support war and atrocity against people of other faiths… you're in a cult. But if your religion only makes you more kind, sharing and giving to your neighbours of all types… you're in a religion. Congrats.

I'd describe a cult as a group to which you voluntarily submit your own independent identity, rationale, and moral code. A club, family, political party, or religion need not be a cult, but they can be. And this lies at the heart of the slogan "Question authority" as demonstrated by people like Benjamin Franklin, Socrates, and Daniel Ellsberg. If you are prepared to question and challenge what you see on your own as wrong in your group, you are not a cult member.

We all dance around one subject and no one is taking it to task; what about 45?! It's been proven that Trump's group is a cult and has all the indicators of one, but these people cannot be "spoken to calmly," or "asked questions about why they believe what they believe." How do we deprogram or help someone leave that cult? I don't see any support websites or group therapy people who have the slightest idea what to do.

Have you had anyone cut you out of their lives because of your political/vaccination beliefs? Yeah, those people show every sign of being in a cult because they can't tolerate conflicting ideas. One of the primary tools of cults is the rejection of ideas they don't like.

thanks for making this video. this touched me deep coz my parents are into this issue. and sadly I have 5% hope they will ever get out. They have 0 friends outside their cult..and we their kids all grown with family and millions of other issues. Is hard to give them another alternative when you yourself have 0 time to spend outside your own responsibilities
